This film retraces the relatively unknown first 30 years of Maurice Béjart's life: his early childhood in Marseille, the loss of his mother, his classical training at the demanding Russian school, his beginnings in Birgit Cullberg's Swedish company... Serge Korber gives us the opportunity to discover Béjart's genius in all its forms, a global vision of a legendary dance figure.
