Christopher Walken was born on March 31, 1943, in New York and is an American actor and dancer. Throughout his career, he has portrayed a wide variety of roles. Among the most well-known are The Deer Hunter (Voyage au bout de l’enfer, 1978) by Michael Cimino, which earned him the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 1979; Dead Zone (1983) by David Cronenberg; At Close Range (Comme Un Chien Enragé, 1986) by James Foley; King of New York (1990) and The Funeral (1996) by Abel Ferrara; True Romance (1993) by Tony Scott; Pulp Fiction (1994) by Quentin Tarantino; Batman Returns (1992) and Sleepy Hollow (1999) by Tim Burton. In 2002, he was nominated for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and won the BAFTA Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Catch Me If You Can by Steven Spielberg. Younger audiences also recognize him for his fabulous dance performance in the music video for the song Weapon of Choice (2001) by Fat Boy Slim.
