When pregnant Maureen is assaulted by a neighbour, her husband Eddie reacts with violence. So much so that he is locked up in a psychiatric hospital. He was released ten years later. But Maureen has rebuilt her life, the daughter she had with Eddie is now nine and she has two more with her new husband, Joy. Eddie's love, as strong as ever and as crazy as ever, will turn Maureen's life upside down.
