About the 6th edition
Valeria Golino was born in Naples in 1966. In 1983 she embarked on an acting career in Italy, winning the Best Actress prize at the Venice Film Festival three years later for her role in Francesco Maselli's Storia d'amore. She went on to star in a number of Hollywood productions, including Rain Man (1986) and Hot Shots! (1991). Her return to Europe in the 2000s led her to take up directing. Her first film, Miele, was presented at the Croisette in 2013. She went on to direct Euforia (2018) and continues to work as an actress and producer. She has also been a member of the jury at numerous international festivals and chaired the jury for the Un Certain Regard section at the last Cannes Festival.
