On-stage conversation with Nick Cassavetes followed by the screening of his movie The Notebook.

In a retirement home, an elderly man reads the same book every day to a woman suffering from dementia. It recounts the romance of Noah, a humble young man from South Carolina, and Allie, a wealthy heiress, who cross paths during a magical summer in 1940. Despite their social differences, Noah and Allie share a deep and passionate love, but their relationship is shattered by Allie’s disapproving parents, who force them apart. Years later, fate brings them together again in Charleston. Engaged to the respectable and dependable Lon, Allie is confronted by Noah's reappearance Their reunion sparks a resurgence of their long-dormant passion, stirring up powerful emotions and buried memories. Torn between her commitment to Lon and the rekindled flame with Noah, Allie faces an agonising choice that will irrevocably alter the course of her life.

The Notebook weaves a poignant tale of enduring love, exploring the resilience of the human heart and the power of memory against the ravages of time. Director Nick Cassavetes crafts a deeply moving film, demonstrating that true love can transcend distance, years, and even the fading grip of memory.
