Film heritage craftsman André Labbouz will hold an exceptional conference on "Film restoration techniques: ten years of digital restoration".

As Gaumont's technical and post-production director, André Labbouz has worked to preserve the memory of cinema for future generations.

From the original negative to the DVD, he goes through all the stages of this painstaking work: calibration, restoration, verification and finally the creation of the master.

The ultimate challenge? Zero defects.

With 650 restorations to his name, André Labbouz is a master of his craft. Born in 1957, he joined the famous film company in 1986 as a theatre manager. Since 2009, he has been in charge of restoring Gaumont's collection of films, some of which date back to the very beginnings of cinema.
